WSU Digital Life Story Project

We’re a team of researchers based at Western Sydney University (WSU), led by Dr Milissa Deitz, with help from the digital experts at The Friday Collective. We're working on a Digital Life Story Tool that will help children and young people in care keep their memories and tell their story in a way that matters to them.

We want to make sure that the children and young people who might use this tool have a say in how it’s made, and that their lived experience is built in to everything we do.

That’s why we would really like to talk to you.

If you’re between 18 and 25 and you can spare half an hour to talk with someone from our team about the Digital Life Story Tool, please let us know. Just send us your details using the form below and we'll get back in touch with you to organise a time to talk. The insights you share will help shape the first prototype of the new tool – and we’ll give you a $50 cashcard to say thanks!

If you’d like to know more about the project, check out the Participant Information Sheet and the Project Description, or send Milissa an email at

Thank you – and we hope to hear from you soon because we can’t do this without you!
